MONA inventive director to curate racy group present in former Swiss porn cinema

Works by the artists Tony Oursler, Nan Goldin and Andres Serrano will go on present in a former porn cinema later this month in a gaggle exhibition referred to as Splendid: An Artwork Exhibition (29 November-28 January). The present, held on the former Cinéma Splendid, is organised by Olivier Varenne, the Geneva-based artwork advisor and inventive director of the Museum of Outdated and New Artwork (MONA), in Tasmania.

The Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota has made a site-specific work for the present: an set up manufactured from cowhide leather-based that’s entitled Out of My Physique (2023).

Requested if the works are on the market, Varenne says: “The works are on the market [without being advertised]. They aren’t business however on the market, sure.”
